The past month has been filled to the brim. First we had the annual Hunter Innovation Festival, then the team traveled to Sydney for Startup Xpress and this week CEO Sahil is traveling around China on a scholarship from Sydney School of Entrepreneurship. Read on to see what else we’ve been up to and what’s on the radar for the coming month.

Startup Xpress

In May the team traveled to Sydney for Startup Xpress alongside many of our fellow regional startups. It was a great opportunity to showcase the work we’ve been doing lately as well as see what everyone else has been up to. This exhibition shows how much talent there is in our area, all equally worthy of recognition!

Hunter Innovation Festival

As part of this years annual Hunter Innovation Festival, Sahil was invited to speak at Startup Stories. He discussed the evolution of Elite Robotics, and shared his view of the startup journey. He drew quite the crowd, in fact it was the biggest crowd they’ve had for Startup Stories at DS-A Hub in Williamtoawn!

China Start: Update 1

Sahil earned a scholarship through Sydney School of Entrepreneurship for China Start: 5-day Immersion program in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen. On his first day, he pitched to JD.COM (the Chinese version of Amazon.) He also pitched at another event that was broadcast to over 430,000 people in China.

China Start: Update 2

The second day was just as packed, starting with lectures from prominent businessman and Professor, Bing Xiang. Next they had the opportunity to tour Dachang, an autonomous county in Beijing. Then they toured Beijing Techcode Campus before catching a flight to Shanghai. Be sure to check out the rest of Sahil’s journey on our social media accounts!

China Start: Update 3

Today we had the chance to do Tai Chi at our hotel before heading to Fosun Investments to pitch our businesses. They are one of the largest investment companies in the world. Last year they recorded $2.6 Billion in Profit and $106 Billion in assets. After that we went to the accelerator Tech365 to do another pitch to a room full of investors. Following this we caught a flight to Shenzhen, the hardware capital of the world.
